1851  Oct 2: maiden voyage Liverpool - Valparaiso. Averaged 9¾knots on 2 tons of coal per hour.
1852  Fired on by Guayaquil shore batteries as she called to deliver the mails.
1854  Returned to Liverpool: the company's first vessel to do so.  Lengthened and engine compounded. New speed 10½ knots on 1 ton of coal per hour.
1863  Wrecked off Lagartija Island, Southern Chile.
